don’t stare at the moon too long or else you’ll remember that nothing in this stupid fucking world makes sense
my automatic instinct is to say HEWWO whenever I start calls online
keep drawing. keep writing. keep making what you love. keep loving what you make. whatever you create is probably what the world needs right now, no matter how different or unusual it may seem
i just wanna say seeing articles about how america is “regressing into a developing nation” should be a tipoff that “developing nation” has never meant a country that is on some path towards becoming a prosperous G5 nation or some shit, it has always been an obfuscating euphemism for a country with low standards of living due to structural exploitation, but calling it what it is would lead to asking just whos doing that exploiting, so we stick with these bullshit titles instead
if it makes you happy, it’s not a waste

Now is a good time to remind people that it’s almost impossible to reverse climate change. If we were to start releasing zero greenhouse gasses now (which is impossible) it would STILL take decades or even centuries to see effects.
So the goal isn’t ‘stopping’ it, it’s attempting to avoid the worst possible results. You can hardly call it combatting at this point.
What we have to do is live with what we have—ensure people have access to food, shelter, etc during disastrous weather events. Food insecurity is and will be more of a huge problem. This is where capitalism fails. The number of people hungry/malnourished is increasing. We have the money and tools, but not the system to feed people.
sometimes you just gotta give yourself permission to accept that you deserve good things in life. you deserve to feel good about how you look. you deserve the attention your partner gives you. you deserve the praise for that thing you’ve worked really hard on. you deserve the people checking in on you and caring for you. you deserve all of it.
