there are like… a LOT of tiny insects that only eat plant sap, and sometimes from a SINGLE plant species… and they are often tiny aphids, beetles, wasps, flies… Ecology is a thing of scale… we see vast forests and landscapes… but every single tree can be an island, a continent full of different species of these insects just roaming around, having their little invisible insect lives, and even inside them there are little communities of bacteria and microbes that provide them with essential nutrients, and there’s just no end to life and where it can be found, and if you don’t think that’s the tightest shit get out of my face
