Pride Month is coming up! As a gay Russian, I feel the need to bring this up again.
Please do not forget about our LGBT brothers and sisters in Chechnya.
LGBT persecution in Chechnya, Russia is still going on. Gay people are beaten, kidnapped, tortured, and killed simply for existing. There are legitimate concentration camps for the LGBT in Chechnya, that have existed for at least a year or more. Hundreds have gone missing and been killed. Western media has no longer given this crisis any time, and help has completely slowed down. Please do not forget about this again. Please do not let LGBT Russians die without at least trying to help.
Here is a donation link to the Russian LGBT network, which can give direct help to those affected in Chechnya (English): https://help.lgbtnet.org/chechnya-en
Here is another link: https://www.dalecameronlowry.com/how-to-make-donation-russian-lgbt-network/
(The actual Russian LGBT website, lgbtnet.org, is not working on my computer. Otherwise I would link it directly.)
Please keep your islamphobia, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, and racism off this post. Thank you, and pray for Chechnya.

Happy pride month, the LGBT+ community owes everything we now have to trans women of color
Here’s a gofundme for Miss Major, one of the surviving leaders of the Stonewall Riots and a lifelong trans activist, so she can comfortably retire.
If I see one of y’all telling lgbt couples not to display affection in public during pride month (or any time really) because “yuck I don’t like it uwu”, I’ll find you and I will deck you without hesitation
a pride month reminder
cops do not, have never, and will never “belong” at pride.
if you believe that the police have any right to involve themselves whatsoever in our pride celebrations and demonstrations of solidarity, you are choosing to ignore the reality of institutional violence our people face to this day, and you are directly disrespecting our community’s foundational history. of lesbians being arrested and violated for crossdressing, gay men being entrapped and brutalized for cruising, trans women being assaulted and murdered by the police… the list goes on. the horrors and dehumanization the lgbt community has faced and continues to face at the hands of law enforcement are depressingly endless and absolutely appalling.
cops are not welcome at pride. they never have been and they never will be. stonewall was a riot. and we are still fighting around the world to this day. respect our history.
ok so like yes gay people are superior to straights in every way but at the same time I’m a little worried that jokes like that are part of the reason kids are identifying as a million different micro-identities… like they know they’re not lesbian gay bisexual or transgender but they want the community, they want to feel like they’re part of it… idk this is only a half formed thought but like. You can find community in places that aren’t lgbt if that’s not what you are. you don’t have to find some kind of loophole so that you can call yourself queer. If you’re not lgbt, don’t make yourself be
I cant believe tomorrow its offically pride month
