My favorite part about using the computer is pressing all the keys and buttons. All that other stuff that happens on the screen is just icing on the cake.
“If you asked most people whether they believed in love or not, they’d probably say they didn’t. Yet that’s not necessarily what they truly think. It’s just the way they defend themselves against what they want. They believe in it, but pretend they don’t until they’re allowed to. Most people would throw away their cynicism if they could. The majority just never get the chance.”
even if your partner and your partnership are wonderful, they are not going to meet every need you have, period!!! that’s just true; it is impossible! continue to cultivate love and joy and closeness in your relationships with other people! and in your relationship with yourself!
not to get into handwriting discourse here but im sick of people who write short fat letters all the same size getting all the attention for having “pretty handwriting” when my illegible loopy scrawl is just as good. romanticize shitty halfway cursive again!!!!!
i’m not mysterious and interesting enough. i’ve got to raise my standards. i’ve got to start shrouding myself in black cloaks and listening exclusively to gregorian chants. i have to refuse to read anything that isn’t in ancient greek or russian. i need to give enigmatic replies like “you’ll know soon enough” or “at the moment that’s none of your concern”
i strongly recommend that people add things like “gender critical”, “radfem”, “radical feminism”, “terf”, and “terfsafe” to their filtered tags. tumblr’s blacklist system will hide reblogged posts if the op put one of your filtered tags on it. this is a really easy way to not accidentally reblog posts by transmisogynists so often. it filters posts both on desktop and on mobile. and you can always click to view the post and double check the op if you want.
on mobile: go to settings > general settings > filtering > +new
on desktop: settings > account > scroll down to filtering and click the lil pencil
your bare minimum isn’t actually that bare or minimum. my dad once told me that there’s nothing in this world that’s easy and that’s true tbh. everything we do takes energy, time, and effort. even the little things. if you feel like you’re not doing enough please try to think about your circumstances and what’s currently available to you: chances are, there’s something that’s diverting or otherwise draining you. and to pull away from that and get something done regardless? well, i think that’s really admirable! please try to take pride in the things you do accomplish in a day, no matter how small or trifling you perceive them to be. you can’t be proud of your growth if you don’t notice where you already are!
